“To build a fairer and more altruistic world, we must empower women to realize their full potential.“
– Matthieu Ricard
Throughout our 20 years of service, Karuna-Shechen has been inspired by our founder Matthieu Ricard’s vision of altruism in action to help women and girls by removing barriers and providing access to the benefits of education and training opportunities.
Educating women and girls is an essential tool for building a more just and sustainable future. It raises wages and breaks the cycle of poverty for women, impacts health and well-being for families, and helps women and girls take their place as active, respected members of society. It is not only our moral responsibility, but also in the best interest of all of us, to invest in women and girls — to lift them up for change — and create a better world for us all.
This #InternationalWomensDay we invite you to join us in this important and meaningful work. Help us empower women and girls for healthier, happier, and more equal lives.
