In India and Nepal, the situation related to Coronavirus is now very difficult for the most disadvantaged populations. Karuna-Shechen is responding with an emergency operation in order to provide help as quickly as possible.
While in Europe the Coronavirus epidemic seems to be moving away, the severity of the virus is now reaching India and Nepal: an alarming situation for the rural population that is becoming more and more uncertain.
The lockdown has led to mass layoffs, internal migration under dangerous health conditions, and difficulties in accessing basic necessities essential for survival.For these countries – already affected by poverty and natural disasters – the pandemic is far from over, we are only at the beginning of a major crisis.
