An altruistic education for an altruistic world

Karuna-Shechen integrates the practice of solidarity and compassion in its education programs. These are not only keys to solving many societal problems in the short, medium and long term, but also a further step towards a more altruistic world.

An education that conveys self-improvement and altruism

We have been working for 20 years now to promote access to quality education for as many people as possible, from early childhood development to vocational training for young people and adults. Thanks to our actions in Asia, we train young people, encourage them to become caring and clear-minded people

“The qualities taught in school are undoubtedly useful and most of them necessary, but school could also teach the means to achieve well-being and self-fulfillment, in short, to what is called “positive education”, an education that also teaches each student to become a better human being” ~ Matthieu Ricard, Altruism

While the start of the new school year is almost here in European countries, it is again postponed in India and Nepal, where it should have taken place in May. To make up this we have set up a system of homeschooling, and are preparing for a back to school project  as soon as classes resume.

Every yar, we support more than 7,000 children in our early childhood programme in India and 180 teenagers in Nepal in our extra-curricular personal and professional development courses. All this is possible thanks to your support, commitment and donations, THANK YOU!
