Because of your support, our project “Plant Kitchen Gardens for Families in Need in India,” finished as the #1 project on GlobalGiving’s June Accelerator campaign!
Planting a kitchen garden for a destitute rural family provides them with organic fruits and vegetables – an affordable and effective solution that reduces hunger and prevents malnutrition.
Karuna-Shechen’s goal is to distribute seeds and plants, install ponds and irrigation systems, and train 700+ families in-need to develop their own sustainable source of nutrition.
To accomplish this, Karuna-Shechen participated in the GlobalGiving Foundation’s Accelerator, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofits around the world.
In addition to being featured on their homepage and receiving $5,000 in bonuses, the project will remain on the GlobalGiving website, open for more donations to grow and help even more families in need!
